Old Post Office

Today’s photo is the Old Post Office – a house converted from the old village post office (the clue is in the name somewhere) in Shincliffe, a village just outside the city of Durham.

Why have I chosen this for a photo? Because today, en route to Edinburgh, we spent time in Durham, where I spent three years of my life as a student, and a place I have never been back to since the day I graduated.

And why this house? Exactly 18 years ago today, it was my home. And from the outside at least it doesn’t look any different.
